It’s no wonder over 2/3rds of Americans are unhappy, with this restlessness also taking over many other ‘wealthy’ nations.
In the book “How the Hippies Save Physics”, there was a chapter with this title that describes how the American military wanted to churn out physicists for military advantages. However, physics is a complicated subject. Many physicists are as much philosophers as they are scientists. Well, the U.S. government didn’t like all the discussions and pondering going on. They thought is wasn’t ‘productive’ enough.
Well, there is a saying: Don’t Confuse Activity with Accomplishment
Sure enough, the fail rate of these physicists skyrocketed because they weren’t free to engage. They were forced to do a lot of activity, with little accomplishment.
Does this sound familiar in a modern world of cubicles, extreme busyness, and a lack of freedom?
Isn’t it time for us to change how we work, for true prosperity, which is physical, mental and emotional freedom?
“Beware the barrenness of a busy life.” – Socrates
How about you? Are you engaged in life, or doing too much “calculating”?
